Hi, This is the G4 iBook, 1.2 Ghz, 12" - new November 2004. Thanks a lot for your input, but I was probably not clear enough, so I don't think your answer applies to this problem. Let me clarify... It is just the _screen_ itself that goes black or very dark, not the machine that isn't powering
