May I conclude from the above that if I have mom...
1. Check the box for Apple Remote Desktop in Preferences Sharing,
and
2. Check the box for On in the resulting window and also check all
the
other boxes that appear in that window, then click

versions of Share My Desktop (server) and Chicken of the VNC (client)
software trying to set up a virtual network connection.
I have a DSL modem connected
Check the following:
- Copy the preferences of all the sharing applications
(User/Library/Preferences) and place them on the non
working machine (on the same place).
- Keep a copy of the old ones for backup.
Who knows.
