My 17 year old son has an old series 1 (233ghz) Wall Street Powerbook that someone gave to him. I want to update it, so I've been reading the archives of this list to see whether it is feasible. I set a budget and was able to get the following parts +shipping for $238: Sonnet Crescendo G3/500

I would like to compare the before and after performance of this Wall Street Powerbook. What program do you recommend I use to test it before beginning this upgrade? System profiler is installed. I did read the whole thread concerning Tom's Wall Street RIP project. I haven't worked in a Mac

I'd recommend the following order, but others are equally good: 1. Install additional RAM 2. Boot machine and verify that everything works, and the RAM is detected 3. Install new hard drive 4. Reformat, then install OS and needed applications 5. Test wireless card 6. Verify that everything is
