I couldn't get a (clamshell) iBook to connect via ethernet, using a crossover cable, to my PowerBook. I tried another computer (PB 1400) and it worked, so I know the cable and setup are good. AppleTalk is on, and routed to built-in ethernet. So I guess the ethernet port must be bad, though
