Folks, thanks for your replies. Yes, I did go into System Preferences and correct where OS9 is located. And yes, I did add OS9 drivers to the new SATA drive. The funny thing is that if I click on an OS9 app, it loads and runs. It just won't load at boot like it used to, and I get this funny messa

My FireWire 800 MDD chimes once when I try to start it, and generally powers up, but does nothing else. The monitor stays black, the little light on the monitor stays amber, and, if I hold down command-option-P-R or command-option-O-F, nothing happens either. I've tried it over and over again
