IIRC, on the Beige G3 I was never able to print in OSX 10.3.9 (but I didn't
try very hard).
I always printed fine in OS9.

On the Beige G3 I had OSX 10.3.9, not 10.4.
IIRC I could print in OSX.

Since when I got the G4 I was still using mostly OS9, I didn't care much
about printing in OSX (10.3.9 at the time).
