Hi Folks,
I can't afford to buy Smugglers 4 at the moment so how can I get the most out
of the demo?

Actually it's www.cepstral.com. You can't actually get them from Nextup. And
they cost about thirty bucks per voice. The difference is that you actually
register the voices like you do most audio games, and it's really easy to
retrieve your license numbers if you should happen to lose them. I do

Hi,
Thanks muchly for the replies so far. I've got some time tomorrow to
do some reading into both suggestions. No doubt answering the initial
question is gonna create 10 new ones hehe.
Cheers again, here's hoping I can do this.

This is getting a little off-topic, so I've changed the message
to reflect that. Does anyone know how/where I can get either the

each? And how I can get them co-working with JAWITHS?

That is a very good suggestion. I'm rather suprised I didn't think of

Thomas,
The FreeTTS Kevin16 voice may drive you "up the wall" but it's totally
free, totally IP unencumbered, it's easy to code against, it always works,
and it's totally cross-platform.
That being said, the sound is not my favorite either and I'd really like

Since I don't personally own a Mac I'm not too sure where Apple is in
terms of Mono accesibility, but I can give you a fairly good idea of

Hi all, for those of you who use Linux and the Mac, how good is Mono in terms
of accessibility? I'm interested in it, because I have switched to C# and
Visual Basic.NET and since Mono supports those languages it may be easy to
start cross-platform support this year. HTH.

Hi. I must agree. Eloquence actually is the best voice I've heard so far.
