Hi Terrence,
Thomas gave us the below link. He gave it to us for trying to replace the sapi

engine for you.

Hello all,
I'm using Windows XP Pro, and for just about any game that uses SAPI, I get
an error message of some sort about SAPI not working. What can I do to fix
this?
Thanks,
Terrence

Hi Terrence,
The first thing that I would try would be the DelUserLex.exe file that you can
find on my free windows sapi5 text to speech games page, as well as on the GW
Micro and Freedom Scientific sites. It is a strange file in that it doesn't
say or seem to do anything, but it did fix my
still waiting for the Windows XP CD to reach me.

Hi Terrence
Hi.
I have some SAPI5 issues on my computer because some of the SAPI5 voices
wouldn't uninstall when I tried to uninstall them properly, so I deleted their
folders.
I tried using the DelUserLex.exe app on Jim Kitchen's website but that now
seems to have prevented the use of all SAPI5 voices

I see what you're saying. Well, there was somewhere that you could make it stop

Those are still for web pages, because those setting only effect what
comes up in the browser.

Hi,
Ummm... No. Understand the runtime first extracts to a temp directory
which you supply, and then run the setup from the temp directory.

That should only effect a game played through the browser. Because
that debug feature is only for java scripting issues on web pages.
As far as a regular program goes. If you got any MS programming
tools. When something blows up you can get a debug window, but not
sure without those tools.
Hi Trouble,
That was my thoughts as well. They need a copy of the Visual C# 2005
debugger which would tell what was the matter, but that is a massive
install just to gather info.
