Well, an inicial look suggests that the windows version at least wll work
with Hal, much in the same way smugglers did.
I'm also however trying the transcendence game mentioned on the website for
interest's sake. I suspect that despite being another space sim game it'll
be too graphical
i DID IN FACT WRITE A TUTORIAL FOR aNAcreon a while back. I don't know
if I still have it; it would be on an older machine if so. I'll look
around for it and repost it, or post it to the files section of the
group if I find it.

Hi James,
You expand your empire by conquering new worlds visible on the map.
Those will create new resources for you if you designate them properly
and if they're of a high enough technology level. Tech level itself
increases gradually, though if you have any worlds designated as
universities

You're quite right, Anacreon in both its versions is a strategy game. The

Hi Darren,
On the whole, the games are very accessible with either program. The
Windows version, in particular, is quite easy to use once you get used

Hi James,
Certainly. It doesn't demand anything particularly taxing or special
out of Windows. Vista will definitely run it.
Best,
Zack.

Hi Dark,
I'd certainly be interested in your impressions. Do let us know how it
goes, especially with Hal, which isn't a screen reader I'm all that
familiar with.
Best and hope it works,
Zack.

Hi James,
I presume you're using the Windows version. In that case, the main
things you want to familiarize yourself with are the menu bar and the
somewhat non-standard dialogues the game uses. A few years ago,

ok, I can't figure out how to expand my empire, and how to get more
resources for one, and how do I get new technologies?

Hi. I love this idea. If we can get enough players together, I'd love
to play some of the advanced scenarios, or at least the eight-player

I actually prefer the Windows version as its map is usable, but I
suspect the turn files are interoperable.
