I've tried building RPMs from the tarball for SLES10SP2, but I keep running
into problems. I'm thinking it's probably something obvious to everyone else,
so I thought I'd post the steps I took:

rug in freetype2-devel python-devel libart_lgpl-devel libpng-

Ah, nevermind. I googled around enough and finally found the right flags to
use when building libconfuse. When I do the following, I can compile
libconfuse and ganglia without any errors:
"./configure CFLAGS=-fPIC --disable-nls"
