I had twins hatch out...one was a good size for a leo, and the other was
teeny. I didn't weigh her (I moved and can't find anything, and that
includes my scale), but suffice it to say she is now about three months old
and the same size as a hatchling leo. In fact, she's in with week-old leos

The breeder that sold me Gabbie said she was a gram and half.

I do give the geckos tap water, but I have never really seen them drink it, and only those three are ill. Maybe my other one (DC) just doesnt show symptomes? The girls did live with Spoon for a long time, maybe they are just depressed that he is gone?

I had my last egg of the season hatch last week. She is a lovely jungle phase. But she
only weighs 1 gram! She is eating pinheads and tiny meal worms, so I guess she
will make it. I haven't lost a baby yet, knock on wood. Has any one else had a baby

Wasn't there an incident a few years back where cryptosporidia got into a city's water

Is this the same strain? And does that mean its contagious to humans?

Hi All including Doc Benson and Doc Klarsfeld:
Anybody have a minute to let us know how both cryptosporidia and coccidia get started,
symptoms, etc. Eublepharis macularius are particularly prone?

Jason -
there isn't a cure for crypto, but there are treatments to help. but can
anyone actually describe the treatments for crypto and whether the treatments
are helpful and worth it? I've heard about them, but have fortunately never

Sounds like coccidia to me, very common in dragons and gex.
It can be treated, but takes work and exceptional hygiene.
I've treated many imports, most have tested negative even years after,
but sometimes it is very stubborn and continually recurs. It doesn't
necessarily make the geckos sick, but if

There are
different medications for different types of parasites. Best bet is to
have a fecal exam done, and treat only if the lizards have parasites. I
think I mentioned testing Spoon for cryptosporidia. This is not found on
a standard fecal exam. You need to have an acid fast stain done
