into suitable sizes with a hammer, and boiled them. Then I lay them in the

glue gun so they don't wobble or get moved. Then I pour Children's P
I second that, I've been getting top hat crickets for a while now, and they
have wonderful crickets, prices and shipping.

I just like to give Pixar the credit, cuz Disney stinks now...hehehe)

I know Peta's website had a campaign against Petco for their mistreatment of
animals, but not against reptiles in specific.
I've heard that there are no animal cruelty laws/rules for reptiles, because
they say they don't "feel" pain and suffering. (is this true?)
What I do is just complain to

That's very exciting!! It's good to hear that it's NOT impossible to get these
guys to breed!! I've thought about a cool down period, but I just don't feel
like I want to risk it. During cool down, did you stop all feeding? or just
greatly reduce it? Once, I ran out of crickets for
Wow, very gorgeous!! I've been trying to get mine to breed, but so far, no
signs of interest??
What are your conditions and what did you do to stimulate breeding??
Congrats and good luck with him/her!!

Liz,
I've used ParaZap, but it was more for prevention than treatment. I had a

actually was losing weight, i started giving him a bit of Parazap in tea form.
It took me a week or so to get a decent stool out of him, and ha
Hi Liz,
I'd forgotten what the problem with Spoon was specifically, but if the other
two are not eating, and it's been a while but no significant weight loss,
force feeding may be too stressful for them. (but depending on what you mean
exactly by forcefeeding. try enticing them to eat by dippi
Hi, I've never had a pet house gecko, but the swollen areas around each eye
would be a warning for me that perhaps there are mites or parasites lodged
inside or something of the sort causing a problem. Or perhaps some sort of a
bacterial infection due to insect bites (if crickets are left in to

I've always kept my leos temps at at least 85F during the day, trying to keep
it at a good 88 if I can, I don't really see any reason to drop the temps
lower than the norm since it is battling parasites and trying to gain weight.
I use heat lamps, and I simply turn them all off when

In my experience, if she is free of parasites and other internal problems, the
best thing to do is to simply keep her hydrated (I gave pedialyte or ensure
once a week in place of regular water) and to continue with the baby food

Hi all, Just wanted to update, that I lost one of my Hemitheconyx taylori

and missing her tail. We later found the tail under the buried water dish (it
