When I do an update layout with xgsch2pcb I get a syntax error at line 20. This is what is at line 20.What is wrong with this other than there is nothing inside the brackets. I tried deleting it from the .pcb file and it gives the same error. Symbol(' ' 18) ( ) __

What I may have done is to look at the footprint using layout in the directory where PCB stores them. Then "save as" with the rest of my footprints where I keep the ones that I'm using. I must get myself up to speed with cp to re-copy the original footprint and all should be fixed. Many thanks Ia

Unfortunately not. I generated a new PAL.pcb file and that should have loaded with load PCB. It had the same problem. I must have a silly in my schematic or one of my dot.fp files. Some thing like two identical refdes or a wrong something in the dot.fp. I'll have to give it a good eyeball test
