1. Transient windows which belong to any QT application such as k3b or
QT-designer open on a different viewport as the application itself.
2. The menus of openoffice won't be displayed well such that I'm unable to

it work under gentoo.
I tested it under Ubuntu-amd64, and it works well.

That's exactly way you should **NOT** do it. Setting ABI doesn't help
anyway outside portage.

Well, this morning I did that except that I said "emerge -e portage",
and rebooted Gnome, but still the problem's here. Maybe I should emerge
-e twice...

here is my short list of configuration commands to check:
fix_libtool_files.sh
gcc-config -l
binutils-config -l
I don't know if running them will fix your system but they help.

Yes, I saw that come in a day or two ago, and it installed with no

I've compiled a 32-bit fluxbox before (using a chroot) and it worked
the same as the 64-bit version -- but only as long as wanted to run
only 32-bit programs from it.
