i added following line to /etc/mailcap:
application/vnd.ms-powerpoint; ooimpress '%s';
now, the strange thing is that sometimes it works to open an attachement
out of the email (client: MozillaThunderbird) and sometimes it doesn't!
all i can do then is to save the *.pps-file. and the

That might be gkrellm. If it isn't, I use fluxbox and gkrellm is the
best app for monitoring your system.
