The best way I have found is to use a Knoppix cd to boot the system and then use either ntfsresize from the command line or qtparted if you prefer a graphical way of doing it. You can also use a Mandrake 9.1 or higher install cd as it includes the ntfs programs mentioned above. I was able to use
