I want to digitize my old VHS tapes.
I have a DVB-T card with analogous TV input (Bt878 based).
What application is best to capture the video to my HD (200GB free)?
Encoding can take place in a second step. First goal should be the
capturing of the video/audio data with a quality as g

Hi,
what tool do I need to get/set the complete set of parameters of
SATA-hds?
Or in other words: Is SATA under linux scsi or ide ?
(what a crazy question...)
With hdparm I only get:
IO_support = 0 (default 16-bit)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead= 256 (on)
geometry = 30
Hi,
is there a way to label partitions which have already been formatted
with mkreiserfs and have data on it ?
The manpage does not make that clear enough for me to check it on
a running system..
Kind regards,
mcc

SATA-harddiscs to different entries in /dev/. got a question mark

Both harddiscs are removeable and either the first or the second are
inserted into my system. Both harddiscs are identical models and will

Hi,
For Emacs there are some EMail-interfaces to read email from the
$HOME/Mail directory.
Is there anything like that for VIM ? Best would be, if I could use
my old EMail directory structure -- I think it is called "mbox", but
I am not sure. It looks like that:
