(I think the color blue designates USB-3), there are two of them. My usb stick was working OK on one, but it stopped. I pluged the USB extension cord to the other port; so it was working for a while. Now the second one stop working as well. When I connect my USB stick to the extension cable the "dmesg" is not showing any output. -- Thelma

I'm using Xfce4. When I shutdown the computer the screen get blanc, no text is scrolling down, showing which services are going down. Though I don't think it has anything to do with Xfce4. Is it the reason the the new system is using GRUB2 and my other systems are using grub-0.97 ver.? --

with different software you will be out of luck. Have Brother ADC-2400N, it works (network, duplex etc) but the design is defective. When you scan small receipts you will end up with black background (not suitable for faxing etc). The scanning strips should be position at an offset but they are not, hence black background when scanning small papers. Epson should work OK, but I only have 2400 model. -- Thelma
