For all its complexity, WFS 2 fixes many things. In particular:
(1) The last-minute separation of WFS 2 from any schema-dependency on a
particular GML (i.e. 3.2) was inspired. (No pun intended.)
(2) Anyone consuming WFS responses in JavaScript will love paging.

In case anyone else trips over this error.
Check that the directory and files are writeable by Geoserver...
It's a misleading error message because the actual
problem is that the files can't be created and then obviously not read.
Hi, I am writing a WPS method which takes a GridCoverage2D object as
input. Is there a way to get the local file for that if it is a raster
layer registered with GeoServer?
Thanks,

Hi,
im using geoserver 2.1.1 and try to use mapbender as client.
when i try to load my wms in mapbender, there seems to happen nothing as
it shows file:"request url se below"
when i put the getcapabilities request in firefox it doesnt show the
xml, but is trying to download a file called wms,
Oh, and a note for everyone reading this thread, that I learned recently:
AppSchema works much, much better on trunk (2.2) of GeoServer than 2.1
or 2.0. It got a lot of performance and scalability improvements, and
is running in production for GeoSciML. You can get nightlies from
http://gridlock
I have found no way to achieve this.
Maybe it is for a next release? Can you confirm?

Hi all,
I'm trying to label a toponyms polyline layer with a geoserver 2.1.1.
I'd like to have each label designed for the entire length of its base line
with the same font dimension.
Could I get this effect with combination of the "vendor options"?
I'll send an example of code that I've used and t
Hi Emmanuel et al,
Thanks for your responses, clarifies things. Is your work on "DB schema
generation based on INSPIRE XSD" publicly available somewhere ?
@justin (about WFS 2.0), WFS 2.0 is a nasty beast ! On the bright side
it may well be that INSPIRE will allow WFS 1.1.0 as well just like th
Hi,
I have a simple requirement. I have a grouped layer for 2 Layers displaying
borders. One Layer is generalised for scales less than 1:50,000 and the other

not generalised and used for scales greater than 1:50,000. Both layers have the

You found the error. I changed the data store ID of the datastore.xml

Hi list,
I've got a problem when trying to display GeoTiffs in EPSG:3995 and EPSG:3576.
Theese rasters are GEBCO grids in native 4326 projection.
gdalinfo says:

Files: gebco_08_4326.tif
Size is 43200, 21600
Coordinate System is:

It was linked to a workspace but I wonder if something went wrong down the
line, I remember having trouble creating it for some reason... I've decided to
delete workspace and layer and just try for scratch and it worked!!
So there must have been a bug down the line somewhere, but I can't figur

Hello,
I've reloaded the server like you suggested and now I get this error message
when I try to preview. (It is worth mentionning that this problem only occurs
with this new layer (a csv file converted in shp with Quantum)).
What should I do?
Thanks,
Delphine
