as far as I know, GeoServer does not depend from a graphic card. Our server has
low-end onboard graphics, just for a little bit administration and thats it.
I also couldn’t imagine where graphic cards could be used but if you would use
the gpu for rendering the images.

I thought that, for example, GEOS and JAI could use some graphic card
capabilities to some image operation. But I really don't know much about

Generally it means that GeoServer can't create the legend as a result of
GetLegend. It could be because of a number of reasons (i..e, it can't find
