Hi Anders,
USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA is a view off the MDSYS table, filtered for the
current users permissions.
system@orcl set long 1000
system@orcl select text from dba_views where

Hi list,
I've noticed in the GeoServer GeoWebCache documentation for Seeding and
Refreshing
http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/geowebcache/seeding.html that
there is plenty of info about seeding, but not much about refreshing. What
do people do in practice when the underlying data
Hi David,
You could have copied the .war straight into the Tomcat webapps directory
for a one step deploy. Tomcat can run the webapp straight out of the .war,
and it can be set to auto-expand on deploy as well.
For the SLD changes, check out the GeoServer REST API

Good advice from Andrea. I would add that you could consider whether a user
needs access to all 110 layers at once. If not, consider splitting the wms
in multiple smaller wms services, that are more targeted and focussed on a
specific need.
I once had a customer that had setup a web map with 220
There's some stuff in ArcToolbox to read KML to a layer

Nothing funny with that. People want to publish also geometryless tables
with WFS
occasionally, so we list everything we find.
It's usual with Oracle to filter out all the system tables, since by default
a user can see a lot of them, but they are rarely useful to an application
end user. If
Hi Marwa,
If I understand you correctly, you can connect from sqlplus on your
GeoServer machine to your Oracle server, but a JDBC connection (as used by
GeoServer) fails. JDBC and sqlplus can use different methods of connection
(sqlplus has more possibilities), so the problem is most likely in
Hi,
I don't believe this is possible to specify directly in SLD. Instead you need
to generate a very long SLD that specifies explicitly the color for each
polygon. This is best generated with a desktop GIS tool like uDig or ArcMap or
similar. You will probably use an attribute value to
Another question. How does the georaster plugin work ?. Since I am
only getting feedback in case of problems, I would be interested in
your experience.
I'm not really the person to ask, as my experience is limited. But I am seeing
performance of the raster layer as similar to a vector
It looks like geoserver is not able to open test.xml
I get a different message if I give it a filename that doesn't exist, eg,
Could not find file: file:coverages/doesnotexist.xml
Please check:
1) if test.xml is stored within GEOSERVER_DATA_DER/coverages
it is
2) the file permissions,
Looks ok to me. Next questions
1) Did you specify the url of your xml config file as a connection
parameter when adding the raster data source ?
Oops, I just noticed that I didn't include that in my original post. I must
have missed that last line when I highlighted in the web page.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for the response.
Please check the following
1) The gt-imagemosaic-jdbc-2.6.4.jar. is in the WEB-INF/lib
directory of your geoserver installation.
yes, it is.
2) Check if the georaster classes are in the zip file, using Linux you
can do this with
unzip -l
Hi salas, I received this error too sometimes. I didn't bother to track it down.
Instead, I just read the record for the column from user_sdo_geom_metadata,
which contains the bounding box, then just typed those values in.
SQL select * from user_sdo_geom_metadata where table_name='SITE';
