Hello,
I am trying to install the Python Extension, but I get several
BeanCreationExceptions. Any suggestions?
I am using GeoServer 2.7.0 with Tomcat 8.0.14 and Apache 2.4.10 on Debian 8.0
Thank you,
Martin

Is the "newer language agnostic extension" you're speaking about the one you
recently also mentioned when I was asking about better WPS support in the

I realize it has been awhile since the last post on this thread, but I can't
find any more information about the Python extension since then. It still is
not available for download under "Extensions" in any of the most recent
stable releases (including 2.1.4). I would really like to use this

Hi Ivan,
Yeah, this is exactly the thing that can make the extension powerful.
The extension is hooked up to the filter function system... so it is
possible to write a filter function in python and have it usable in an sld
or a wfs query, etc... although admittedly I have not tested it thoroughly
Hi there,
I had a look at the python module for the first time today, i must say
it looks *really* interesting.
To be honest the first thing i thought was the ability to implement SLD
or geoproccessing functions easily (here i am displaying my lack of real
java coding abilities)
are there ex

Hi Stefan,
Yeah I actually disabled it because of issues with some external
dependencies on github svn and unfortunately never got around to fixing the
problem.
I have an idea for a quick fix though and will try to get to it today.

Hi
what happened with the python extension? According to the manual it
should be found on the download page. But I wasn't able to find it
