It is. Especially some CRS metadata retrieval methods and all the hints around

complexity is needed).

The point is that it would be irritating to give the user the choice for all

Don't miss this year's exciting event. There's still time
in an online repository where the GT
shapshot jars can be found with names similar to how they will appear in the
final release (i.e not conflicting with each other and other dependencies)?
This would be my idea how to solve this in the most simple way.
Have a nice weekend.

then in one year or so by the time our application is to be released GT2.5
is stable enough for production use.
If this sounds totally unrealistic, then we'll have to check if upgrading to
GT2.4 and to 2.5 later is worth the double effort or if we should better
postphone the update.

When using a coordinate authoritty factory (f.e. for EPSG) to query the
available codes there is currently no possibility to tell the factory to
restrict the returned codes. However ofthen only 2D or 3D CRS or CS are needed,
or the returned objects
are there to reduce the time, given the constraints
that I need the metadata (not offered by WKT) and that I don't want to show
invalid objects to the user.
