I have just installed the latest 32 bit version of Peppermint on a old
notebook that I have won, I thought that I might have a play around
with get_iplayer on it (I have only previously used windows versions)
but not sure which installation would be best, that is if one is
available.

If you are using the --force to override because you have already
downloaded the program once, you could try editing the
download_history file and remove the entry, then you wouldn't need to
use the --force when you run the command.

For many years I have used get_iplayer very successfully for
downloading bbc content (thanks to all who maintain it) but a year ago
I got a firestick and thought that I would be able to use that rather
than downloading everything with get_iplayer, but I was wrong. ITV
hub, Channel4, UKtv and
