Not yet. I think there is a bug filed for that change though.

seems to be a per-user setting, not a per-book setting. Is there
actually a way to have different accounting periods for different books.

Excellent. That is helpful information. Next,
Another workaround is to keep the master copy on the iCloud drive, then use the
Finder to copy it to a local folder before opening it, then copy it back to the
iCloud drive after saving changes.

Unfortunately the iCloud folder isn't available using Gtk's file chooser so
it's not feasible to support it in GnuCash. Google Drive has implemented a
similar arrangement so that it's also invisible to Gtk's file chooser. I don't
know about other services.
I work around that limitation by keepi
Brenda,
It appears that you are editing the QIF file incorrectly. It should not
need to be edited at all if it is coming from a financial institution. I
have not used that format for income accounts so I cannot tell you exactly
what is wrong in your case but I think that one side should be appea
Hi David:
I was instructed to import into Assets. But I have tried everything – Bank,
cash, accountsreceivable, accountspayable. The results are all the same.
Here is my import (my last try I used AccountsPayable) as a last ditch attempt.
I think I have tried everything else.

Brenda,
GnuCash also supports QIF imports as they are exported from many financial
institutions. Is there a chance that one of your GnuCash accounts has an
incorrect account type?

Hi Gyle:
Thank u for the reply. I appreciate any help.
The program (Vacation Rent Pro - VRP) that I am using to generate the import
file only creates QIF files for Quicken or IIF files for Quickbooks. So I
have to use QIF files to import into gnucash.
Note: I use OFX files when downloading my
Brenda,
Are you using Quicken or QuickBooks? The Quicken file import used by Gnucash
is QFX, not QIF? I don't know anything about the format of the import file,
but I did a quick download of a QFX file and the layout looks very different.
I hesitated to respond, because I don't know much abou
Sorry, that's beyond my Mac knowledge.
Hopefully a Mac user will be able to answer that for you.
My GUESS is that you just need to File -> Save As and select your iCloud

Just be careful that only ONE computer has the file op
Thanks, I could open it.

Hi,
On the Mac, you cannot double-click a file to get it to open. GnuCash
will always open the last file it used, regardless of what you click. On
a Mac, you need to open GnuCash and THEN you can use File -> Open to open
a desired file. Then, when you exit GnuCash, next time you restart it
