I did this while still on High Sierra, not sure if that affects anything or
not. And I’ll confess, thinking about it more, perhaps I let MacOS rename the
file for me when I copied it over. (It will ask you if you want to ‘replace or
keep both’)
I might have removed 2.6, installed 3.0 then insta

Well, in addition to the malformed subtotals with respect to user sign
preferences, there's the problem that the method for producing a totals-only
report has been substantially reworked.
In 2.6, using "Show totals" and "Suppress transaction detail" worked to create
a report that did just that

I have been contentedly using Gnucash since 2010, initially on Ubuntu but more

it’s probably time I upgraded.
I have a few questions:
1. Will 2.6.16 still run on the Mac when the withdrawal of support for 32-bit

Is the latest version for windows stable? I'm still on 2.9. If so, do I
need to uninstall 2.9 first or do anything besides download and install new?

Thanks for the answers. So I might as well stay on my current version until
there is a 3.3 rev with the bug fixes in a final 3.3.
Thanks John

When your Mac asks you if you want to ‘replace’ or ‘keep both’ choose ‘replace’.

Eric,As Devid pointed out, it depends upon your usage. For me, I reverted
back to 2.6.21 because I use for business purpose and for which 3.2 needs

Eric,
The essential question here is v 2.6 currently meeting your requirements.
Are you able to do what you need to do? If it is then there is no real
reason to change until you are really ready to. The main gain in V3.2 from a
user perspective is possibly the improvements in the CSV importer. You
The tour simply hasn’t been updated yet for 3.x series. I have to say, I agree
that it is confusing.
Hopefully, those who contributed major changes have some of their volunteer
time they can dedicate to showcasing new features.
Until then, release notes are always available.

Most of the links on the home page point at 3.2, but right below where
it says "Download GnuCash 3.2" it says "GnuCash 2.6 release tour".
huh?
Should I stay with 2.6 for now, or is 3.2 ok to upgrade to?

I was abler to upgrade to 2.6.20 which works. Is there something wrong with the
exe file for version 3.0.0?
