I am affraid I have been living in London for over 40 years and I am
neither personally or directly or indirectly affected by the mining in Goa
and I do not have property in Goa. I am however deeply concerned about the
welbeing of my fellow goans and the land itself which I love and

Recently, there was an e-petition relating to Goa's disappearing natural forest
cover. I hope those who received that petition signed it.
Anyhow, one of the issues of denuding forests is the reduction of updrafts,
which in turn will make the coastline un-bearably hotÂ

Rice fields and wells are being destroyed and dried up systematically, forests
are being cut, precious water tables are being polluted and emptied by the
irresponsible mining process and I could go on, and
