Hmm... I am caught in the middle... I see the points made by John and
Ikai equally well, and though I haven't used GAE-Python, I do think
that GAE-Java would do well to pick one development environment, stick
with it and streamline the tutorial around it.

I am worried about not just Java on GAE (though that's the more
immediate concern), but also about Java's future in general. Don't
want to be stuck with a proprietary language that has bad stewardship
and a belligerent, short-sighted, greed

Yeah, I think most would agree that Oracle ownership of Java isn't
good.
