Here's a little tip that will save a lot of pain.
Before you bring your bike in for service, strip off all the plastic
cowlings yourself and leave them at home.
You can put the assorted screws into marked dixie cups until you
reach the point that you can strip and re-assemble in your sleep.

Guys,
I asked the folks at K&N if they plan to make a Power Commander II for the
GTS1000. There reply is included below. I want one of these units, as even
with all the tweaks that I have taken off this list, I still find that 1st
and 2nd gear are a bugger between 3K and 4K rpm. Any more brigh
Congrats on the effort, still quite an
accomplishment!--sorry about the BBG :(, You're bad
for making us jealous of your tank...--any way you
could post some digi pics of the mods or are they
copyrighted by your mod guy?

No I won't be there, but if you are a hockey fan - Wayne Gretzky's
Restaurant and the Hockey Hall Of Fame are a pretty cool places to
visit.
I'll steal a line from George P.
Grant Gall trying to get those Americans fired up about hockey!

getting good at this. =)
Oh and A BIG "THANK YOU" to Richard Lanouette for having the Fiche online. I had to
strip my bike of all of it plast
Here's a funny site with sketches and descriptions of the types of people who
post to lists. Find yourself and your friends, then make sure you tell them

I'll be travelling through Toronto this Saturday (spending the night). If
any GTSers are interested in hooking up, let me know and we'll try to make
it happen.

Well said.
I am the proud owner of a legally purchased service manual and I'd
like to purchase one of your .pdf copies when available.

Considering the extremely small market for GTS service manuals, I
hardly think it will kill Yamaha if the thing is posted on the web in
.pdf format as the microfiche is for the benefit of the owner who
needs to occasionally look at it.
