While I prefer the 100% linen, I have used the blends and not had a problem. If you get the cotten/linen blend it acts and looks pretty much the same as pure linen. I am not fond of the rayon/linen blend. Just as a side note, I have found 100% linen stuffed in with the blends at JoA

A while back, I ordered a ton of $3/yd linen/cotton herringbone. It looked and felt like pure linen--very silky--until I washed it. It FULLED. Unwashed, it had been very lightweight, very thin, (it felt like about 3.5-4 oz, from what I remember) and a bit loosely woven. Washed, it's thicker
