You are right, I might have sent them a color sample if they asked but what killed me was I stressed how much I was not looking for 'pink' and I got three different shades (along with some shade of red but none the color I wanted) of salmon pink with 'pink' in the color title. :p Traci On Sat

Heehee, yes I was worried about the hat myself. I took preliminary pics and made all my friends look at them and tell me it wasn't 'too much' as I was rather worried. :p There's no orange though; the pictures might make it look like that but its a deep gold silk on a deep brick red velvet.

When I recently made the 'Hat of Doom' ( http://tinyurl.com/dmpcb ) I sewed the feathers on. Basically I just made sure to get the thread in between the feather fronds and right against the stem so no 'fuzzy parts' were under the thread. I tacked them down in two places to keep them where
