I believe some of the Collective either dabbles in, or, is into Video
Editing (VE). Can I prevail upon you to maybe provide some back channel
discussion with my Brother, Bruce?
My Brother could use some help/counsel about VE. He has a VE machine that

Does Vista in all it's wisdom detect 32/64 bit cpu and install accordingly ? or
are there two versions like with XP ?
May need to update my server HW for some beta testing with Vista or even xp64.
Have xp64 and Vista Ultimate just not sure if it swings both ways or not. <:-|

vista has separate install media for 32 and 64 bits
the license key determines which version of Vista it is (Home Basic/
Premium/Business/Ultimate) but the media determines the bitness
(bittedness?)

alternate media from MS for a nominal S/H fee.
With Ultimate Retail, you should have both editions in the box.
With OEM/System Builder versions, you only get the one you purchased

I am now running a C2D w/2G of ram on an Intel P45e m/b. Well, that is
what I think so far.
In any case, it seems that the HS/Fan is seated. From Probe II, I see cpu
at 29C, the m/b at 40C, and the cpu is doing a VCore of 1.06v. And, all of
the other "volts" are preza
curious how that is working for ya ? I have that but am afraid to mess with it
due to the stories I read about drivers and such.
