File this as a guess. Monitors use different modes.
My older ones made a significant click when switching from the default
BIOS video to the mode Windows uses. I guess one mode (at least)
has broken. Not much help...

If you get the same response in both
It seems that Dragging and Dropping needs to be default for Right-Click
windows to appear.
