GTX 680, specs to 4096x2160. must be the cable but so far am just fine with the HDMI. Need to investigate a better quality cable in display port. video on the display port booting up was all goofy too, not so with the HDMI. any one recommend a quality display port cable ? thanks, pretty much

if I use the display port I get horizontal lines above 1920x1080 ( which is where I run anyway, the default is way too small for these old eyes even ramped up) <:-| It is more likely your video card display port can't support higher resolutions or maybe your display port cable is bad. ds

bought a UHD monitor (Samsung) supports 3840x2160. Can't help myself sometimes. :'( my video card would not so I got a new video card. if I use the display port I get horizontal lines above 1920x1080 ( which is where I run anyway, the default is way too small for these old eyes even ramped up)
