Is there anyone on the list that can still discuss W98se?
I'd like to trade questions offline/backchannel.
I've built a W98se machine to play some old games, but
need to know what's neccessary for a "solid" build.
The system I have is very strange and I'm seeing behavior

When you install XP "clean", do you start with SP2 on the CD
(integrated or embedded) or are you using olders CDs and (or)
talking about re-installs...
I have not used an XP-Gold, or XP-SP1 CD for ANYTHING for quite a
long time...
Patching XP "up to" SP1 or SP2 ON

I guess I am just used to looking at the re-install figures of
a bare, unpatched, clean install of Win98SE, and the fact
that my Image on that still fits on a single CD-R. .
I'll have to clean up the "trash", and see what that system logs
in as after fully patched an
