I have a small set of indispensable apps that aren't available on WP. Until that changes, I feel like I'm stuck. Back in the WP 7 days I use to read this a lot about windows phone. Personally, I don't run that many apps that don't come with WP8.1 although I did want the AKC dog tracker

Question is what file are you prevent from restoring? Must be something in the logs about it. Could be the very action that hid the files is what's preventing their restore. I'm sure this message mean the files in question (that won't restore) ARE in the restore but write is being blocked. Chkdsk
