together in the J section (not in our picture book collection). Middle grade
Holocaust fiction/chapter books are shelved by author in the J Fiction section
but they have a special Holocaust sticker on their

I was searching for something age-appropriate to use with the after-school
Hebrew School students and found a beautiful 18-minute HBO documentary
inspired by David Adler's book but with a slightly different title -- *The
Number on Great-Grandpa's Arm --* for an audience of about

In my library we have all the Holocaust fiction and nonfiction in its own
area, so that readers won't accidentally pick up a Holocaust book without
being prepared for it. I think it's the best way to manage these books.

Feldman Children's Library at Congregation B'nai
We have a section in both the children's bookcart (up to age 6/7) and
Juvenile (7-9) that is labeled Holocaust. The older children's section is
set up by Elezar numbers and fiction. At one point we had the Holocaust
fiction separated and labeled as such, but now, we have those fiction
stories in
After feedback from some parents, I long ago separated out our Holocaust
picture books and put them on a high shelf. If parents want their kids to have
access to them, that must be their decision.
For the JA (Junior Advanced, age 7-11), I do have age appropriate Holocaust
titles available, but
