Thanks for your interest in this matter and for the ability of others to

I agree with Rene and Tom. You have learned the skills and need to be in a
place where you are happy and in an environment that fosters development,

What you have described is the opposite situation. Hopefully you can find a

Hello to all Histologists,
Perhaps someone can help me. At our institution we primarily use electron
microscopy for slides with toluidine blue, and grids for TEM. The students
here also do some immunostaining on their tissues. We have a student though

Is advertising allowed on Histonet now, or not? When I brought up
this issue before, people responded, "Oh, if it's just a tech looking for a

We run a control(s) first before using it on patient samples. We
compare that slide to the same/similar control(s) run with the current
lot. Our director reviews both slide(s) and if comparable or better,

I haven't mentioned that the hospital where I work has been facing

I'm in a new position and have to get our IHC paperwork CAP ready. I'm not

Hi Johanna,
I think it is going to be hard to find brain tissue that has already worked up

But if it is this antibody: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19798509
It ought to work on 70% of astrocytomas.

Hi,
we need to validate our IDH1 R132H antibody on a known positive tissue. We are
a small lab and so far we could not get hold of a proven positive specimen. We
did not have any luck contacting the antibody's manufacturer either.
Could someone name a source from where we could get some sections

Just curious what everyone else does...I've decided to do the even's 1 quarter
