the internet and the other (the one that I mainly use) connects through it.
I am trying to set up a ds on my router and so far it works fine, I've
managed to get it to recognize its external ip address and it appears in the
On my clan server I rent from (to remain nameless to avoid GSP flames),
my sv_maxrate is set at 20,000 @ 100 tick. My client rate matches that,
and then both cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate are both set at 45 (any more

I've ran into 1 custom map that the doors would sometimes open, sometimes not
(yard_final6 for css). All official maps I've yet to have a problem with @ 100
tick on 2 servers.

being that no files were sent over the

For those that use Mani, looks like this came out yesterday. Might help
some. I plan on trying it out.

The sprays are stored in cstrike/downloads on the server, however with
sv_allowupload 0 they will no longer be sent to
clients. With sv_allowdownload 0 they will not be uploaded from the clients to
the servers downloads folder.
Even with sprays disabled on the server, your client can render the
Set your rates up correctly and you won't be dropping update packets. There is
nothing wrong with door operation at 100
tick.
N.B. Some non-Valve maps have hard to actuate doors anyway.

Disable swap, however it's page faults that you should be looking at, not data
volume. Windows always keeps a paged copy
of lesser used data.
