If your scrds terminal on CentOS 6.5 doesn't respond to any input.
Installing ncurses-libs.i686 fixed it for me.

Oh glorious. Someone at Valve learned what readline is. The console
command line is now accepting readline input. That means command line
history (up arrow), ctrl+a, ctrl+e, ctrl+u, ctrl+k, etc.
