That is an extremely bad idea, and is also unnecessary. You have just put out a sign saying "Here I am, Hack Me Baby!". Without NAT or a firewall to protect you from incoming threats, your box will likely be quickly compromised. Just forward the necessary ports, keep NAT up, and turn off firewall.
