If it's always around the same time, a couple of things to consider. What time do you have set for OS and software updates to run? Do you have an Anti-Virus installed and if so, what time is it set to do a scan? Both of the above items will defer to a person logged in as they are meant to run in

Then another couple of suggestions. Set up a counter log in Computer Management-Performance Logs and Alerts. Try different combinations of Objects and Counters until you find the culprit. You may also consider setting up an alert, especially in the Processes area. Again, try different

I was using the latest version. It did not seem to list cpu cycles anywhere except for the System I can see everything running under the System but they did not show any cpu cycles. I was wrong. I had two copies on the server. I may have to stay up late tonight and see if the problem
