LAN server = no internet connection (you know what I mean), therefore no
connection to VAC, hence VAC can't ban them. Banning local IPs probably
wouldn't do much good anyway :)

yep exactly what they did with Day Of Defeat too, i stopped playing when
valve took it over, they just completely fucked it up (too unbalanced teams)
