I dont think that the servers are breaking, iirc when getting banned from entering in the wrong rcon password you get IP banned which results in you not being able to see the server at all either ingame / steam browser / hlds at least this used to be the case if it no longer is i'm sure someone

I don't use the -pingboost option as I found it didnt make any difference to the server performance this is on a reasonably high end dedicated gaming server running only srcds (CSS / TF2) processes however I am running a 1000hz kernel timer which does all our "boosting" the TF2 servers are running
