Do cheaters use multiple cheats at one time? If not, then they could
easily tell their friends that they got banned for using _ cheat, in
which case we may as well have a nice reporting mechanism for the server
admins.

This reminds me of an interview I read about a year ago with the writer
of the Jouls cheat. "No game will ever be safe on a platform where
programs run in shared memory space."...or something like that.
Active periodic cvar verification would fix it.

The server crashes, and there is a logfile with size 0. No way to tell
who did it, or what happened. This explains why some of my servers have
been crashing all the time.

It was posted by Eric that the cl syntax was changed for srcds. For
hl1, use +ip, +port, and +maxplayers. For src, use -ip, -port, and
-maxplayers.

I bought a supermicro case that came with hot swappable sata drive
trays. In order to get it to work correctly, a separate zero channel
raid controller was necessary, but the finished product was pretty
sweet. Raid 5 with a hot spare.
