I was told by someone today that for 100 tick servers you are better off
using -tickrate 99
Can anyone comment on the effectiveness of this?
Thanks,
Joel

Our 10 plyr server are same but set to maxrate 30k
We are running Zblock Max and mani admin mod.
We don't have choke issue, but we have CPU load issues.
What do think?

Is there any other platforms that anyone knows
Yes, I have similar issues. Not as bad though.
We have same spec system. But 1Gb RAM, RHE 4
We run a 32 plyr server on it and a couple of 10 player servers, all 66
tic though. CPU load averages 80% with just the 32 plyr, add 2 10 plyr
servers and we have 100% (load avg is 1.5), even idle servers
Is there any other platforms that anyone knows of that have open
libraries developed for rCon?
Except for the obvious php, and the C++ lib that valve released
I'm working on one for .NET atm and am thinking of releasing it; however
I'm not sure if anyone else has anything similar.
Regards,
Does anyone know of any central place for reporting hackers steam Ids?
I know that central spam lists of IP and email server exist. I'm
wondering if anyone has started something like this for steam Ids?
Thanks,
Joel

Ok Alfred, bug tracking is something that there is a lot of open source
stuff out there to take care of, and its not to hard to get going if you
have a large group of people willing to put an hour or two in a week
each. If the community were to come up with something themselves, would

Here goes
Valve release a dodgy update.
A few hours later another one was released that fixed the fuk up.
For those few hours thousands of CSS servers around the world went down.
Still no comment from Valve as to why.
Thanks Valve, we love you s much :)

Well actually, as server admins we are giving valve stuff for free too.
Without us, there would be no CSS or HLDM servers and valve would have
to run their own.
We provide a free service for them, the more SRCDS server there are the
more likely people are to buy valves software and they intern

I'm imagining a group of dorky programmers getting drunk at the valve
office Xmass party and compiling the wrong build and releasing it :P
Merry Christmas to you too Valve :(

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can refer me to any sources or give advice on
getting the best performance out of HLDS Linux.
I've had a 48 player server chewing 25% CPU load on a dual 2.8GHz Xeon
that but
that loading is nothing to be concerned about.
