hlds_run is just a shell script starting the actual server binary. On line
329 it starts the actual server that then segfaults for some reason.

Hi, could somebody (from valve would be great) tell me what could be
happening? I'm running a couple of day of defeat server and every
single hour one of them crash with this:
./hlds_run: line 329: 11374 Segmentation fault
line is ALWAYS 329. i know you can't distribute source code but what
does
also, the last update from valve of november 14th finally killed my
dod server. it used to restart continuosly with assert-failed but now
it just dies with:
pipes.cpp (608) : Assertion Failed: Stalled cross-thread pipe
interfacemap_client.h (1073) : Assertion Failed: bufRet.GetUint8() ==
it runs (and crashes) just like it used to, no luck. does valve have
schedule a fix? kind regards.

Well, it still crashes a lot. but before it was several times an hour. now
it can actually run, at its best, for a couple of hours
Hi, i'm new to the list. I would like to know if there's any news,
fixes or workarounds on the 'stalled cross-threaded pipe' error that
began to happen after we updated our servers on freebsd. i used to run
a private dod clan server with the old engine without problems.
thanks. kind regards.

no workaround what so ever? its kind of frustating and installing
linux is out of the question right now. Thanks for the prompt answer.

Its not perfect, but it sure helps me. Never the less, we are hit hard by
players going elsewhere.
