Our servers are running on CentOS and have been fully updated. However
several customers are reporting crashes every 10-15 minutes. Anyone have
any insight on this?
Thanks, Brad

Any one got anywhere with this? All of my CS:S servers are unplayable

Not to be a troll, but if you "watch this list carefully" you would
already know the answer to this question which is: it depends. You would
also know that hitting REPLY to post a NEW topic is bad. And I hope you
know that there is no such thing as a 128 person CS server. To get more

Can you give the IP:port of your secure emulator so I can get the latest
module? Or a link to the modules itself would be nice. speakeasy is
giving the module that forces clients to disconnect.

Along this note though, if you send the incorrect password too many
times and ARE banned, then if you unban that IP and start using the
correct password, even a 'successful' challenge claims to be
unsuccessful. The only way to escape this cycle is to restart the
server. Is it possible to fix that?

I must say though, your email client is not standards compliant as it's
not inserting the following headers when replying:
In-Reply-To:
References
I know this comes up every once in a while, but after getting 3 NEW
topics that were all nested replies to the previous, I think it is time
once again to bring it up.
If you are posting a NEW topic, PLEASE do NOT use the Reply button; use
the NEW button. The current thread is already 3 topics deep
ot fully supported by the
maker. I will also not carry HL2 game servers unless there is a big turn
around in the attitude reflected on the CUSTOMERS who run servers for the
community.

He's not asking for sympathy you arrogant prick. He's just stating the
obvious, Linux users are the ones most interested in Half-Life. I didn't
sense any stubbornness in his post, just unprovoked disrespect from
yours. With all due respect (not much), your reply has no substance,

The CPU is being detected correctly by HLDS, there is no Pentium 4
binary, just a i686/Pentium II+ binary. I am a little unsure of what you
are saying. So the server WAS working before you updated the kernel? Or
is this an entirely new setup? Also, what parameters are you giving
hlds_run?

I have never heard about that var, so I tested it out. I can't change that var on my
server. It's locked at 16 (2 reserved on an 18 person). Hmm, no big deal, just testing
stuffs.

Granted you are on the same subnet...You can't just get anyone else's
traffic? If you can, please explain...

I am still unable to connect to my secure servers with WINE after the

it doesnt. It just freezes. Then I have to kill the process. Some

I know I'm probably living in a dream world, but is it possible to get
CD to work with WINE properly? I would imagine not as it effectively
checks for irregularities... Any success stories would be appreciated.

I run into this problem ALL THE TIME with my dlink home router. The
routing tables get overloaded and I have to reboot the router. Also, I
think limits can be placed on how many connections can be made from a
single IP. But I believe its most likely cause by the router.

If you are running multiple hlds instances from the same directory, you
can specify different files for EVERYTHING, but I can't seem to find the
variable to change the MOTD filename. Anyone know it? Does it exist? EX:
"+motdfile MOTD2.txt"? Thanks

And you have the code that will encrypt the WONid locally (the server
code), and you can sniff the outbound packets trivially. Why cant you spam
