To follow this up. I have now upgraded one server to FreeBSD 6.0 and must say I am truly impressed by the performance boost over 5.4. If all the numbers are correct, it have lowered the cpu use by more than half. Hopefully there are no bugs that crashes the OS. /Bjorn _

RELEASE is pulled from the STABLE tree. It's generally regarded to be more stable than the STABLE tree, only receiving bugfixes and no new development. STABLE is actually the development branch of the stable version, while CURRENT is the development branch of the development tree (currently 7).
