Loss of money comes in the fact that no new customers sign up...doh' they
test out your server and see it laggs like hell and move on.
Then you get the current customers who will leave because the PAID FOR
Server is a Lag box

Yeah, but since when did you pay for the service software, or since when
did the licence on HLDS have a SLA?
If you're loosing money as a result, it's a pain but you can't really
complain about a loss.
It does irritate me with the lag the new update has brought in though, I
don't run my servers
Im trying to find out if anyone else is having issues since the last patch,
many of our servers are showing problems with a big lag spike every 10min or
so
this spike has a few smaller spikes then one lasting for approx 5 sec where
everything freezes.
the server then returns to normal, it isn't
We're having horrendous bouts of lag. All 7 machines are looking okay
CPU wise but people are telling me the server seems to be locking up for
about 5 seconds.
Ick.
